Can we have a little testosterone here???

I took my kids to the local science museum today. They have a big room that is for kids five and under. (which I LOVE) Canyon's favorite thing in the room is this little water table. You push various buttons and water shoots out, or turn on the water which creates a ripple effect of bucket dumping water into other buckets. So Canyon was playing with this thing that you put a little toy boat in and it goes around and around in about five circles until at the bottom it spits out the little boat. He was propped up on a chair playing with this toy for a VERY long time, when along came three little kindergarten boys. They all grabbed a boat and joined in the fun. You should have seen my son. You could palpate his excitement. He was so excited those big BOYS were playing with HIM. They continued to play for about twenty minutes. The big boys handing canyon his toy and laughing at him. I have never seen canyon so happy. He is a guy's guy. He loved playing with the boys. I actually can't remember a time he has played with a bunch of little boys.

Brinley Elisabeth Smith

Brinley is like a 19 year old rammed into a five year olds body. These are a few of her words.

She will play with anything. One day she had invented something I thought was particularly clever, so I told her so. She said, "mom what does clever mean?" I said, "well it is like smart or thinking of a new idea." She says, "that isn't new me and staley thought that up way back in the 80's"

Today at breakfast, Staley said, "Canyon is so cute, he is a little chubby" Brinley said, "well it is better than the F word." She meant fat. But it took me a few seconds to make the connection.

Rant

OKay!!! This drives me insane.
I usually use this as a brag blog and leave the ranting up to my dearest husband. But lately I can't stand it.
So you are weaving through the parking lot, looking for a parking spot and some joker stops and WAITS.... for someone to pull out. It drives me crazy. Okay so if they are (reverse lights on) in the process of backing out, I am all for it. Back up wait and get the spot. But, no, The selfish, lazy, people I am refering to, see someone putting groceries in their car and assume sometime today that individual will back out. Or worse, some lady has three kids and has to buckle them all in their carseat and some joker is sitting their waiting for her.
So the cars start piling up behind joker while he sits for several minutes just to secure a spot ten steps closer to the store. Save us all five minutes and walk your LAZY tail the extra few steps. COME ON!!!
