In attempt to declutter our move and house selling efforts. Yesterday, I had a GARAGE SALE. I had been stock piling CRAP in the garage for the last several months. I had several very large boxes. So I was excited to have this great yard sale. My husband was not on board with my plan. He is a BIG fan of just throwing it in the dumpster. So I was on my own. (I say this as he was inside watching all four kids, cleaning the house, shuttling to the primary activity and birthday parties.) So I sat outside in the cold while people sifted through my JUNK.. The thing that struck me about the yard sale was the cars that pulled up. A jag, several brand spankin new suburbans, several lexus and about 20 big f150 chromed out mac daddy trucks. In the first hour of the yard sale I made 70 dollars in the next three hours I made 28. So the pros arrive early buy all the good stuff and then you sit and nickle and dime yourself the rest of the day. At 12:30 WE (MATT) took several large boxes of JUNK to goodwill. I think I learned my lesson. NO more garage sales. We are too hard on our stuff who wants to buy a shirt three little girls have stained 10 times.

My husband the Fix-it-man.
Well my NEW front loading washer has been on the fritz for the last week or so. The laundry piles up pretty quick around here. Since we are trying to sell our house that is unacceptable. I was dreading calling the repair man because we are really on this dave ramsey path and wanting to put every cent towards our debt. So I just hoped denial would fix the problem. I continued to push start to no avail. Well my husband who is a freakin genius, just jumped on the internet searched some repair forums and whamo we were up and running again in about thirty minutes. That should have cost me 200 bucks. I am so excited. He is amazing. He also changed almost every light fixture in our house. refer to picture below. He shocked himself about four times. But we now have all updated light fixtures. I don't know how I got so lucky. I think my next post will be top ten awesomes about my husband.

Live like no one else.
So the latest on the financial front with the smith's is Dave Ramsey. We have enrolled in this 13 week course called financial peace university. It isn't anything earth shattering yet, we are half way, but it is very fun and entertaining. A great way to become one on a financial level and start making your money behave. I would recommend this course to ANYONE and EVERYONE. I crave the day when we can call into his show and scream. "Dave we are debt free" I almost tear up just thinking about it.
We are carrying around envelopes and budgeting like crazy. This guy is Christian and he teaches to be a financial success you have to pay god first. 10%
Check up on us in several weeks to check our progress.
The slogan we love is live like no one else so later you can live like no one else.
